TASK

The EXM 3000 / EXM 6000 molecular diagnostic instruments are rapid-testing solutions developed in response to the outbreak of the „COVID-19“ pandemic. From the project kick-off to the successful market entry of the product, the industrial design was completed in just 52 days. All efforts were aimed at providing strong support for pandemic testing services.

The cut out on the upper part gives the instrument a more dynamic overall appearance. The user-friendly cutting angle positions the display screen in the optimal viewing position.

Focus on Functionality

The transparent window offers a maximized visible area,
allowing users to quickly monitor the process status.

The Coexistence of Design and Practicality

The integrated handle is formed by one-piece injection molding. The use of a grey panel inside not only enhances the visual hierarchy of the appearance but also reduces stains during use.

Focus on Design Detail

The front is in ABS formed by injection-molding :
the best suited and the most cost-efficient manufacturing
process for this product.

The sheet metal casings for the rear and
side components shield electromagnetic
and magnetic radiation, providing
technicians with convenient maintenance,
repair and assembly conditions.

The technical requirements have influenced the design and division of the equipment casing.
Diagonal lines define the contours, moving away from the typical straight-line segmentation.

UI Interface Design in Line with User Experience

The colour scheme of the UI matches the secondary colour of the zybio instrument product line.
During the UX user experience process, yimumu has explored the optimal operation logic, and the icon design also follows the shape and functions of the instrument.
This enables users to more easily understand and use zybio instrument products.
